Issue Position

"Public education is the cornerstone of our democracy and must be supported with public dollars. The legislature has a constitutional obligation to adequately fund quality public education. We have often fallen short on our commitment. We can no longer afford it. Our children, our economy, our homeowners, and our public services are paying too high a price. All children must have the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, welcoming environment."
